Eric Baumgardner | High School Band Director
Mr. Eric Baumgardner is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he obtained a B.S. degree in Music Education. He also holds a M.Ed. in Supervision and Administration from Lincoln Memorial University. He is a former member of the University of Tennessee ‘Pride of the Southland’ Marching Band. While in college he also performed with a variety of other ensembles including the UT Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Civic Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, Marimba Choir, Steel Drum Band, and Studio Orchestra.Eric has also performed with the Knoxville Symphony and the Oak Ridge Symphony in the percussion section. He has studied with Michael Combs, Keith Brown, Robert Adamcik, Andrew Adzima and Tim Paul. Mr. Baumgardner served as the Assistant Director of Bands at South-Doyle Middle and High Schools for nine years. During those years, he developed an award-winning percussion program, which performed with Shania Twain in 2004. He also organized the first South-Doyle Middle Jazz Band. Mr. Baumgardner is currently the Band Director at Halls High School where he oversees the Marching Band, directs the Symphonic Band and Indoor Percussion Ensemble and teaches AP Music Theory. In 2009 & 2011, he was named Halls High School Teacher of the Year. He was also named a Teacher of the Month by the Halls Business and Professional Association. His professional affiliations include: MENC, TMEA, ETSBO&A, TEA, and PAS. Under Mr. B’s leadership, the Halls Indoor Percussion Ensemble has had an unprecedented amount of success. Since taking over the group in 2005 they have never placed lower than 3rd in Carolina Indoor Performance Association (CIPA) sanctioned contests. The group has been a finalist at the WGI Spartanburg Regional the last three years placing 1st and 7th place at World Championships in 2011.
He has also worked with the Yamaha Sounds of Summer Percussion Camps by hosting a camp each year since 2002. The guest clinicians have included Jim Bailey, John Brennan, Lamar Burkhalter, Dr. Gifford Howarth, Brett Kuhn, Jeff Moore, Michael McIntosh, Matt Savage, & Jim Yakas.
In his spare time, Eric also serves part-time at Central Baptist Church Bearden as Director of Instrumental Music where he leads the Central Orchestra and Brass Quintet. He is happily married to his wife, Donna. They have a beautiful daughter, Anna.

Ashley Waller | Assistant High School Band Director
Ms. Ashley Waller is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2005 and a Master of Music in Music Education in 2006.Her tenure at the University of Tennessee included membership in the “Pride of the Southland Marching” Band, UT Symphonic Band, UT Studio Orchestra, and the UT Trumpet Ensemble.
Ms. Waller has also participated in several professional organizations such as C-MENC, Tennessee Music Educators Association, International Trumpet Guild, and the College Music Society.

Tiffany Kimbro | Middle School Band Director
In her role as Director of the Halls Middle School Band, Mrs. Tiffany Kimbro plays an essential role in the ongoing development of the HHS Band program.
She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science in music education and Masters degree.
