  • Twelve band members auditioned for and were selected for the All-County band in Knox County
  • Six band members auditioned for and were selected to participate in Senior Clinic
  • Two band members were selected for All State Recognition

 Community Events:

  • Each year the marching band represents Halls High School in the Halls Christmas Parade
  • Every other year the marching band represents Halls High School in the Knox County Veterans Day parade
  • The Jazz Band performs at a variety of community events such as the Halls Band Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, Halls Alumni Association Dinner, and the Annual Halls Crossroads Car Show

  • 1st Place – Halls Indoor Show
  • 1st Place – Carolina Indoor Performance Association Championships

 

The Halls Indoor Percussion Ensemble went undefeated for the season within the CIPA circuit placing 1st place in every competition. This is the also the 2nd year in a row the ensemble as won the Championships. The group has never finished lower than 3rd place in CIPA competition.

WGI –Winter Guard International, Spartanburg Regional

  • 3rd Place (score 83.95) – Prelims
  • 1st Place (score 87.3) – Finals

 WGI –Winter Guard International, World Championships

  • 5th Place (score 91.35) – Prelims (60 Groups)
  • 6th Place (score 90.85) – Semi-Finals (Top 20 Groups)
  • 7th Place (Score 90.525) – Finals (Top 12 Groups)

This was the first year the Halls Indoor Percussion competed at World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. The 7th Place finish is a national ranking in the Percussion Scholastic A Division.

  • The Band Received the National Band Association’s Citation for Marching Excellence for receiving Superior Ratings in Prelims and Finals.
